Privacy Policy

MOTHblank ("we", "us", or "our") develops and operates NotaSegura, an Android application for organizing purchase records, receipts, warranties, and payment reminders.

NotaSegura is designed as a local-first application. It does not include advertising, MOTHblank analytics, user accounts, or MOTHblank cloud synchronization, and it does not upload your purchase records, attached documents, or OCR text to MOTHblank. Receipt OCR uses bundled PP-OCRv6_small models and runs on the device.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

NotaSegura can store information you enter about purchases and payments, including product names, merchants, purchase values and dates, warranty dates, categories, model and serial numbers, notes, payment schedules, payment status, and related metadata.

This structured information is stored in a local Room database in the app's private storage. Payment entries are user-created records and reminders only; NotaSegura does not initiate or process payments, connect to bank accounts, transfer money, extend credit, or provide financial advice.

2. Receipt and Document Attachments

You can attach images and PDF documents such as receipts, invoices, warranty documents, and other proof-of-purchase material. Imported files are copied into app-private storage and associated with the corresponding purchase record.

These documents may themselves contain personal or sensitive information. NotaSegura does not upload them to MOTHblank or a cloud service.

3. On-Device OCR

For supported images, NotaSegura uses on-device text recognition to extract receipt text and generate reviewable suggestions such as merchant, purchase date, total value, model number, and serial number.

Recognized text can be stored locally with the attachment so that records can be searched later. OCR output is not sent to MOTHblank.

4. Notifications and Reminders

NotaSegura can use Android notifications for payment and purchase-related reminders. On Android versions that require runtime notification permission, the app asks for that permission after explaining why it is useful.

Reminder scheduling and notification state are handled locally on the device.

5. Backups, Restore, and Exports

NotaSegura can create a portable .notasegura backup containing your structured records and managed documents. Portable backups are encrypted and authenticated with AES-256-GCM before being written to user-selected storage. The encryption key is derived from a password you choose using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with a unique random salt for each backup.

NotaSegura does not store, upload, or have access to your backup password. If you lose the password, NotaSegura and MOTHblank cannot recover the encrypted backup. The encrypted payload also retains the archive's integrity checks so corrupted, incomplete, or modified data is rejected during restore.

You control where exported backup files are stored and shared. Once a backup leaves the app's private storage, you are responsible for safeguarding and deleting that exported copy when it is no longer needed.

The app can also create human-readable PDF reports for sharing. Shared reports are created as temporary files and exposed to the receiving app through Android's controlled file-sharing mechanism.

6. Network Access and Third Parties

NotaSegura does not contain an advertising SDK, MOTHblank analytics SDK, MOTHblank account service, or MOTHblank cloud database. The app itself does not request Android network access. Purchase records, attached documents, and recognized receipt text are not uploaded to MOTHblank.

Receipt OCR uses bundled PP-OCRv6_small models and runs locally on the device. The OCR models are included with the installed app, do not require a runtime model download, and NotaSegura does not transmit receipt images, document contents, or recognized OCR text for recognition or analytics.

Distribution, purchases, installation, updates, crash handling performed by the operating system or store, and other Google Play platform activity are governed by Google Play and your Google account settings rather than by NotaSegura's own data layer.

7. Android Backup

Automatic Android application backup and device-to-device transfer of NotaSegura's private app data are disabled by the application's backup and data-extraction configuration. Portable backups are created only when you explicitly choose to export one.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Local NotaSegura data remains on your device until you delete individual records, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Exported PDFs and encrypted backup archives remain wherever you chose to save or share them until you delete those copies yourself.

9. Security

Structured records and managed documents are stored in app-private Android storage. Portable backups are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from the user-provided password and authenticated so tampering is detected before restore. The password is never stored by NotaSegura and cannot be recovered by MOTHblank. No security mechanism can guarantee absolute protection, so users should still protect their device, password, and exported files.

10. Children's Privacy

NotaSegura does not require an account, advertising profile, date of birth, or online identity. The app is intended as a general-purpose personal organization utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a MOTHblank server.

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when NotaSegura or its data-handling features change. The date above identifies the current version.
