Privacy Policy
MOTHblank ("we", "us", or "our") develops and operates Hestia Tuner, an Android instrument tuner and metronome. This policy explains what information is processed by the app and its advertising integration.
1. Microphone and Audio Processing
Hestia Tuner requires microphone access to analyze pitch.
- Microphone samples are processed in real time on the device.
- The app does not save audio recordings or upload microphone audio to MOTHblank or a third party.
- The microphone is used for the tuner and is released when tuner capture is no longer active.
2. Local Preferences
The app stores a small amount of configuration locally, including the selected language, whether background metronome playback is enabled, and whether certain explanatory prompts have already been shown.
Hestia Tuner is configured with Android application backup disabled. The app does not provide a MOTHblank account or cloud-sync system for these preferences.
3. Background Metronome and Notifications
The metronome can use an Android foreground media-playback service so timing can continue while the app is in the background. On supported Android versions, the app may request notification permission so the required ongoing metronome notification can be shown and controlled.
The foreground service and notification are used for playback control and do not independently collect personal information.
4. Advertising
Hestia Tuner uses Google AdMob to display banner advertising and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising privacy and consent choices where applicable.
The app requests current UMP consent information before initializing the advertising SDK and only enables ad requests when UMP reports that ads may be requested. When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, Hestia Tuner exposes one inside the app.
Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, device information, ad interactions, diagnostics, approximate location derived by their services, and related information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and personalization where permitted by your settings and applicable law.
Hestia Tuner does not currently include MOTHblank-operated analytics, user accounts, cloud synchronization, or in-app billing.

Hestia Tuner does not ask users to create an account or provide a name, email address, date of birth, or other direct profile information to MOTHblank. Advertising provided by Google is subject to Google's own age, account, advertising, and parental-control policies.
7. Retention and Deletion
Local preferences remain on the device until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Advertising-related information held by Google is subject to Google's account, advertising, and retention controls.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when Hestia Tuner, its integrations, or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the current version.
